This website is operated by Gambling Recovery Media LLC, Chicago, Illinois. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. How we handle your information is covered by our Privacy Policy and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice.

The site is intended for adults. Do not use the forms if you are under 18.

Jimmy Morris is a person in recovery who interviews other people about theirs. He is not a doctor, a therapist, a counsellor, a financial adviser or a lawyer, and neither is this website.

Everything here is personal experience and general information: the episodes, the written pieces, the resources, and anything Jimmy Morris says to you by email. It is not a diagnosis, not treatment, not a treatment recommendation, and not financial or legal advice. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional, and using this site does not create any clinical, therapeutic, professional or confidential relationship between you and us.

Recovery is not uniform. What worked for one guest may be wrong for you. Please do not start, stop or change any treatment, medication, financial arrangement or legal step because of something you heard here. Talk to a professional who knows your situation.

This podcast is not affiliated with Gamblers Anonymous, the National Council on Problem Gambling, or any treatment provider, clinic or regulator.

This site is not an emergency service. Nobody is monitoring the forms around the clock. Messages may not be read for several days.

We link to helplines, meetings, blocking tools, counsellors and treatment programmes because we think they may help. They are independent organisations that we do not control, and we are not paid to list any of them.

Listing is not endorsement, vetting or a guarantee of quality, availability, cost or outcome. Check anyone’s credentials yourself before you rely on them. Your dealings with them are between you and them.

Applying to be a guest is not an offer and does not guarantee you will appear. We may decline for any reason, including our judgement that appearing would not be good for you right now.

If you do record with us, we will agree separately and in advance how you are identified, what is covered, and your approval of the episode before it is published. Once an episode is published it forms part of a permanent public archive that is distributed to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Podbean and anywhere else the feed reaches. We will do what we reasonably can to withdraw an episode if you later ask, but we cannot recall copies already downloaded, cached, re-uploaded or redistributed by others.

You keep ownership of what you write to us. By sending it you give us permission to read it, reply to it and keep it for as long as our Privacy Policy says.

We will not publish or quote anything you send through a form, in an episode or anywhere else, unless you agree to it separately. Please do not send confidential information belonging to anyone else, and please do not name other people in ways that would identify them, particularly family members, without their agreement.

The episodes, artwork, written pieces, photographs, the Gambling Recovery: Taking Back Your Life name and the show’s logo belong to Gambling Recovery Media LLC or are used with permission.

You may listen, read, and share links freely, and you may quote short extracts with credit and a link. You may not republish whole episodes or articles, re-upload the audio or video to another channel, sell it, or use it to train a machine learning model, without our written permission. Ask us: for genuine recovery, education or prevention use, the answer is usually yes.

• Do not use the forms to send abuse, threats, spam or marketing.
• Do not use this site to promote gambling, betting services, affiliate offers or anything that profits from gambling.
• Do not attempt to break, probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
• Do not scrape the site or its feeds at scale, or copy the archive wholesale.

We may block access for any of the above.

We try to keep the site up but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including individual episodes, at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty as to accuracy, completeness or currency. Statistics and figures are cited with their source and date and may be superseded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gambling Recovery Media LLC, Jimmy Morris, and anyone working with them will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of this site, from anything you read or heard here, or from your dealings with any organisation we link to.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred United States dollars (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that applies to you, these limits apply only so far as the law permits, and nothing here excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You agree to indemnify Gambling Recovery Media LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or content you send us that infringes someone else’s rights.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Cook County, Illinois, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
