About me

Host. Speaker. Recovery Advocate.

Jimmy Morris recording with a guest in his home studio in ChicagoMy home studio in Chicago

I host Gambling Recovery: Taking Back Your Life. I am a recovering compulsive gambler with more than 14 years in recovery.

I was born and raised in Chicago's Little Italy, and I record these conversations face to face in my own studio here. Through my own experience, advocacy, and the people who come on the show, I work to raise awareness about gambling addiction, the harm it does, what recovery takes, and the mark it leaves on families and loved ones.

Recovery is still an active part of my life. I go to Gamblers Anonymous meetings, I mentor people in early recovery, and I co-chair an online Zoom meeting every Monday night.

I also speak at conferences, run workshops, and take part in schools, panels, recovery events and community conversations.

Every Monday night

Closed Gamblers Anonymous meeting
